Q-INE highlights the varied and unique perspectives of LGBTQ+ students at Penn as well as their work. This includes pieces that touch on experiences and are directly linked to queer issues as well as creative pieces that may be influenced by the writer's or artist's queer identity. We accept a wide range of genre including but not limited to:
Written: Personal Essay and Prose, Poetry and Experimental Writing, Short Fiction, Academic Writing, Analysis and Reflection
Visual: Traditional Art and Contemporary Art, Photography, Comic, Sculpture
We are especially interested in memoir; everyone has a different idea of what it means to be queer and their own experiences with that, so tell us yours!
Submissions may be anonymous and we accept submissions from anyone affiliated with Penn: undergraduates, graduate students, alumni or staff.
Submissions must be made to the submit button above January 31st, 2021, to be considered for the 20-21 issue.
Submissions will be selected from the submission pool by our staff. Edits will be suggested and returned to writers.
Submissions returned with edits will be reviewed by our staff for publication to Q-INE. Those accepted will be notified.
